I was not tagged to do this but I saw The Innocent Smiley do this post and it looked like a lot of fun so I decided to do it as well because I can.

Which dystopian/fantastical world would you live in?

Hmm.. I would live in the world of Morganville from the series The Morganville Vampires. I would love to take Claire's spot and be in Shane's arms. *swoons* I would be glad to take her place. Plus I would kick some butt to some of the people in the book *cough cough* Monica *cough cough*. Even though there are many other places to be in, I would still choose this. I was tempted to choose The Lux series in West Virginia, but the whole alien thing going in on there, I would not like to be apart of that. 

Who would your partner be?

Hands down, Daemon. I absolutely love Daemon from the series Lux. Holy baby jesus please let me be with Daemon! Daemon is loving, snarky, sarcastic, hilarious and drop down gorgeous. I wish there were someone out there like Daemon *sighs* He would be the perfect partner, I know I can always count that he would do anything for me. If only it weren't for Katy being in the way.

 

Who would be your Godly mother/father (from Percy Jackson)? 

Obviously I would have Athena as my mother because she has been my absolute favorite goddess ever. I would love for her to be my Godly mother. 

Would you be a Downworlder or a Nephilim (from The Mortal Instruments)?

Psshhh, Nephilim duhhh! 

Which house would you be in (from Harry Potter)?

I would be in Gryffindor! These are very easy questions to answer, Gryffindor seems like such an obvious choice, but I would really love to be apart of that house. 

Which faction would you be in (from Divergent)?

Hmm, I want to say Dauntless but I am terribly a coward *puts head down in shame* So my next choice would be in Abnegation because I am completely selfless. 

 What would your daemon be (from The Northern Lights/Golden Compass)?
Ummm...I have no idea what this is.. O.O
*Edit* So I just looked it up, and I feel stupid *face palm* I want a tiger!Especially if it were Rajah from Aladdin. It'd be amazing to have one that is loyal to me but is vicious to everyone else *laughs wickedly*

My Review:

This was an alright book. There were many scenes that I disliked very much. I was expecting much more from this book that what was given. I didn't see where a lot of things were going and thought that the plot was not really great. I kind of 'judged a book by it's cover' here. I had no idea what this book was going to be about but no way did I think this is what was going to happen. 

- Luce
At first, I thought she was a 10 year old and I didn't really like that she was a 14 year old to begin with. Throughout the book though, she did seem maturer and took off as if she were much older than in the beginning. There was a growth in her that was pretty good. I didn't like how her uncle abused her and almost raped her, just that scene made me feel sick. To think that things like this are actually happening to people at this moment terrifies me. I wish our world were much more at peace and things like this never happened. I loved that Luce was her own person, but sometimes she acted like a coward. I wished I could put my hand through the book and slap every single one of these mermaids in this freaking book. 

I honestly do not feel of going over every single character, but here is a quick review of them all. They were so many betrayals from almost all mermaids that were just incredulous. I couldn't believe what I was reading, it honestly didn't feel real. I couldn't believe the book when everyone turned on people, and how this book started to where it is now. Anais annoyed the hell out of me. I can't begin to explain how much I wanted to slap this chick, along with Samantha. Ugh! There were just so many characters I loathed through this book. I did not like Catarina's character at all through this book, the only time she grew on me was on the last freaking chapter. This entire book in my opinion was okay, it was original but seriously. It was very annoying. I only kept it to 2 stars because there were some things I actually liked about the book. Seeing Luce's voice mature, was hands down my favorite part of the book. Mostly my only. 

Overall, this was an ok/horrid book. I only really liked the main character (and not a lot at times) but Dana and Marian were also my favorites. I wish I could give this book 5 stars and be excited for the next book but I am not. I will want to finish this series eventually but not anytime soon. I may pick the next one up if I have absolutely nothing to read. I am glad this was a fast read and got to the point at times, because if it wasn't a short read and took forever to get through, I would have given this book 1 star. I really tried loving this book but I just couldn't. I could see how this could be a favorite to some people but it was not my cup of tea.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - Book Review

My Review:

“No. I can survive well enough on my own— if given the proper reading material.”  

I thought this was a great book. It took a few chapters for me to get into the book but I was hooked. I was hoping for more battle scenes but this was a great read. It didn't reach my expectations, I didn't really like how they switched the multiple point of views but getting over that the book itself was unique and intriguing. 

- Celaena
First of all, I love her name. Celaena is an extraordinary heroine and can kick some butt. I wish this was in first person in her point of view because I loved her the most out of everybody in this book. There were so many damn good scenes with her. I understand now why everyone loves her, she is pretty amazing. 

- Dorian
Eh, I like Dorian but I think he is a little too flirtatious at times, which kind of annoyed me. I didn't love him but he was an alright character. It was obvious that he really did like her not loved. I take love really seriously and it seemed like he was getting close to loving but seriously? It seemed a little cliche and didn't feel right. 

- Chaol
Chaol, on the other hand, I loved him. He was able to control himself a little better. I was secretly hoping he would crack at times though. Chaol was my third favorite character (Nehemia has to be second favorite) through this book. There is no denying that he secretly wants Celaena even if he won't admit it to himself. I want to see how these characters grow in the next books in the series. I am excited to read more of Chaol, I really love him. 

- Nehemia
I had my doubts about her, but in the end she was awesome. I think she is the right kind of person that Celaena needs in her life right now. She is a great friend, even though I had this whole issue with her in the beginning, that soon passed. 

Overall, I thought this was just an extremely original and creative read. I would say I rated this 4 instead of 5 because of the lack of things that felt missing. I didn't like the vibe I got from Dorian, he is an amazing character to some but I just don't really like him. This didn't reach my expectations but it was still a great book I picked up and I would recommend a lot of people to read this book and see for themselves if this is a great book or not. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a new twist of things and is tired of the same books repeating. Let me know what you thought if you gave this book a shot!

Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout - Book Review

My Review:

“I promise you that this isn't going to be our future, Kitten. I will give that to you—a normal life." 
Her eyes glistened. "I don’t expect a normal life. I just expect a life with you”  

I loved this book. I love this series. I love Daemon. Ugh this was so beautiful and amazing. I am so excited to see how this series ends. I want them to live happily ever after! Ugh that cliffhanger ruined me! This one wasn't my favorite of the series but I did love it nonetheless. This has been one of my all time favorite series this year. I cannot get over how amazing this is. 

- Katy
I still love Katy. I hated seeing her go through the stress tests, and I'm pretty sure Daemon would agree with me. This book took an unexpected turn with the Origins but that made it is so cool. Daemon and Katy are just the most adorable couple I have ever seen, it is beautiful seeing they would do absolutely anything to keep one another safe. 

- Daemon
God knows I love Daemon. I loved seeing his point of view through this book as well with Katy's. This is just what I needed to heighten how much I love him. He is very protective, hilarious, amazing, and so much more. I am shocked on how this book ended, I need to read the next one!

Overall, I loved all the characters in this book. The last few chapters were very shocking and very depressing. I am very interested into seeing how this book continues because the ending left hanging with my mouth open. I couldn't believe what happened between Dawson and Beth, how is that going to go? And that last freaking page my god. I need to read the next book soon. I loved this book and this series. Jennifer never seizes to amaze me.

This Wishlist Wednesday is dedicated to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin 
There has been so much talk about this book for such a long time and I am dying to read it! With the new release of The Retribution of Mara Dyer, I am having a hard time trying to get this one from the library. I want to get this book in my hands already, the synopsis looks so intriguing. This book looks like something I would really love and I hope I can get this book as soon as possible. If you have read the book, let me know what you thought about it in the comments!

My Review:

“Oh, dear God and baby Jesus in the manger, my eyes!” Dee shrieked. “My eyes!” 
My own eyes snapped open. Daemon lifted his head, eyes luminous. Then I realized my hands were still up his shirt. I yanked them out. 
“Oh my God,” I whispered, mortified. 
Daemon said something that burned my ears. “Dee, you didn’t see anything.” And then he added much lower, “Because you have impeccable timing.” 
“You were on…her and your mouths were doing this.” I could just imagine her hand signals at that point. She went on. “And that’s more than I want to see. Like, ever.” 

I loved this book! There were so many great twists and plots and so many beautiful romantic scenes. I loved this book. I am glad this book started from where we left off in Onyx and I thought there was so much that had to go on and when the ending came and it was all in that one chapter I was on the edge of my seat. I seem to be blabbering s lot right now, but it is taking a lot to not type in what I'm feeling because right now I feel like this #@?!<#?@$*#!^&%?>?@$!?/!#@*!!. 

- Katy
I love Katy's character. There are lot of things to her and she is an amazing main character. She is by far my favorite main character in books, she needs to be able to look out for herself more though, she seems to walk in on a lot of things that can get her in danger. But she is amazing!

- Daemon
Oh, Daemon. I love Daemon so much. It pains me knowing guys like this are only in books and probably guys I would never meet in a lifetime. I love how much he cares for Katy and would do anything for her is just incredibly freaking sweet. He is such an amazing guy and hilarious. I love whenever he speaks; it is either funny, snarky, stupid or romantic and you can't help but love him. 

Overall, there were so many great characters in this book. I wish I could explain more how I felt towards this book but as I said words cannot describe #^&*>!/ I am excited to get onto book 4 and see how this series continues because this damn cliff hanger is bothering the hell out of me. I want more and I hear the next one is in Katy and Daemon's point of view!! You can already tell the next one is going to be great. The ending killed me, I cried on those last few pages. Believe me, the ending is going to break you and melt your heart!
